In this digital Banking era, Bank offers an innovative IT product “DiGi PKGB - Mobile App for Bank Account Opening and e-Pass book facility” developed by Bank’s own IT Team. DiGi PKGB added one more feather to PKGB Tech savvy crown.

DiGi PKGB App is a user friendly mobile application which enables customers to open basic Saving Bank Account through Mobile and can also be used as an info app. Any customer having Aadhaar and Smart Phone (Internet enabled phone) can open their first account with PKGB in paperless way and get the Account Number instantly.

After opening the account, customer can avail other IT products like, Mobile Banking, Debit Cards, ePass Sheet, DBTL benefits etc. A customer who is already having an account can start using the app for viewing the existing Accounts.

The processes involved for utilising this app, for a new customer:

  • 1 Download the DiGiPKGB app from Google Playstore and install the same in the Mobile.
  • 2 Customer has to enter Mobile Number and receive OTP to login to DiGi PKGB App. Following fields are to be entered:
    • Aadhaar (Mandatory)
    • PAN (Optional)
    • Email ID(Optional)
    • Name
    • Father’s name
    • Mother’s name
    • Date of Birth
    • Select the Branch
    • Address Details & other Basic details
    • Take a selfie (Photo of Customer), Capture the photo of Aadhaar Front and Back side and also PAN Card, if PAN number is entered. Alternatively, Customer can scan QR code from Aadhaar. App will automatically fetch customer information like, Name, Date of Birth, Gender and Address.However Only remaining information has to be entered by customer and can also modify QR fetched information.
  • 3 Account will be created in real time and it will be in debit freeze status. Customer can credit upto Rs. 10,000/- to his account through another Bank’s IMPS/NEFT.
  • 4 Customer has to visit the Branch within 30 days of account open date with original KYC documents to regularise the account and unfreeze the Debit. If not activated within 30 days Account will be closed automatically.
  • 5 Branches shall obtain the KYC documents in terms of extant guidelines and verify them, and also obtaining SB account opening forms mention the account number as appeared in the APP of the customer and obtain specimen signature card and photos and activate the account.


If Mobile Number, Aadhaar or PAN exists in our database then App will not allow to open an account.

Following are the processes involved for utilising this app, for Existing customers:

  • 1 Download the DiGiPKGB app from Google Playstore and install the same in the Mobile.
  • 2 Customer has to enter Mobile Number and select “Already have an Account” then enter Account Number and receive OTP to login to DiGiPKGB App.
  • 3 Application prompts to set 4 digit mPin. This is optional. User have the option to proceed without mPin also.

After successful login, customer can use the other features of the DiGiPKGB App:

  • All accounts of the customer will be displayed in single window including his/her Loan account if any details like due date, due amount, outstanding, sanction limit, ROI, scheme.
  • On clicking Accounts options, system will display the list of accounts of the customer. On clicking on any particular account, system will display the basic details of the account. Click on the Passbook tab to display the pass sheet of the account. Initially system retrieves latest 10 transaction of the account. To get the older transactions, click the button More.
  • Customer can locate ATMs, Branches, ROs, HO, HO Annex, STC of the Bank through google map.
  • Deposit & Loan interest Calculator is also available as a ready reckoner.
  • Bank calendar (with holiday marked) also provided in the app.
